Returning to Love: the Wisdom of Release
With Phyllis K. Hicks and Florence Meleo-Meyer
October 23 - 28, 2018
Insight Dialogue seeks to bring the Dhamma to life in the body and heart as intuitive wisdom. Cultivating awareness of the habitual tensions that maintain suffering and learning the pathways of release reestablishes us freshly in the ever unfolding moment. Returning to loving presence is a source of resiliency in the midst of life’s challenges. The three bases of Insight Dialogue practice – meditation, wisdom, and relationship – form the foundation and a path of unbinding in the good company of other meditators. Together we begin to realize the power of solitude and communion in our lives.
This retreat combines silent practice with carefully guided Insight Dialogue meditation, Dharma talks, mindful movement, and time in nature, all within the container of noble silence. This is an opportunity to encounter Insight Dialogue for the first time and also for experienced ID meditators to deepen their practice. Free from habitual speech, free from online communications, supported by nature, we learn that space of practice that moves wisely between words and the wordless.
Prior silent meditation experience is required.
Addition to retreat: October 28-29 intensive deepening and sharing ID practice.
From 3 p.m. Sunday 28th October until Monday 29th October Phyllis and Florence will be leading us in learning how to share the Insight Dialogue guidelines and to create and share contemplations with each other. This will be an opportunity for participants who are leading local groups, or who simply wish to practice with friends, to refine their skills in offering Insight Dialogue practice.
